We had the opportunity in 2014 to build a new home for our family of 6 and engaged Jan Hurley Architects based in Pukekohe to design our new home fitting onto a very narrow site, and to make the most of the stunning views across the Manukau Harbour.

It was a fabulous opportunity for me to be involved in the design / construction phases as well as the interiors.

With any project, there needs to be a starting point, for us it was the timber flooring in our living spaces, and the Black Titanian Gold Granite for the kitchen.

The flooring was purchased and stored for almost a year till needed. I wanted a warehouse type look, but not as distressed.

Young Design built all the kitchen / study / laundry / cabinetry.

Dulux Paint Colours were used, and feature wallpapers from James Dunlop.
