My clients live in a gracious arts and crafts home, but didn’t want a traditional style new kitchen.

The space is very narrow, and the non negotiable was to include an island. I achieved this by staggering the depths of the back cabinetry, keeping a simple colour palette of greys, and gunmetals.

I also felt that the island cabinetry had to be appear not too heavy in the space, and came up with the idea of the metal framework, which we had powercoated to match the cabinetry colour.

Selecting the small glass mosaics for the splashback add a touch of softness to the space, as well as including an offset pendant. My client loves this area the most.
