McCallum Residence

This was certainly a once in a life time project for an interior designer.

The brief was to preserve the family Scottish and historic features of this large residence, while turning it into a luxury venue.

It was important the house didn’t feel like a museum, or old folks home, but have grandeur and a different experience than a large family home.

The house had been neglected for a generation, so it was a real honour to be part of this total 2 year restoration.

My services included specifying all the paint colours for every room and tying them back to sourced Scottish heritage fabrics. The family wanted me to pay homage to the grandparents choices of walls colours that existed in many rooms, I loved that and added a twist of modernness.

Bathrooms I had a hand in selecting tiles from my clients images and ideas.

We incorporated family pieces of furniture and reupholstered many pieces.

Designing the layout in the morning room, really was the icing on the cake. The delicious duck egg blue wall colour and the most gorgeous fabrics for new bespoke furniture.
